بنغازي، ليبيا (CNN)—قال أحمد أبوختالة، المتهم بضلوعه بعملية الهجوم على مبنى القنصلية الأمريكية ببنغازي، والتي أدت إلى مقتل السفير الأمريكي، كريستوفر ستيفانز إلى جانب ثلاثة من الأمريكيين الآخرين، إن سبب وفاة ستيفنز كان نتيجة اختناقه اثناء محاولته إحراق وثائق مهمة داخل القنصلية، على حد تعبيره.
